Zenfolio Reviews

As a DSLR photographer, I've explored a bunch of popular photo platforms over the years. Recently, I decided it was crucial to showcase my entire portfolio on a well-designed site of my own rather than relying on platforms like Flickr or DeviantArt.

I came across various reviews from folks who were frustrated with Zenfolio's customer service when they needed help setting up their sites after signing up. Personally, I had no trouble at all building mine; it was super easy, and the final outcome exceeded my expectations.

In addition to photography, I used to be an electronic musician, and I've added embedded players from my Bandcamp page where all my albums, EPs, and singles are available. Now, those who find me through my photography can easily listen to and download my music on my Zenfolio portfolio. Likewise, my music fans from around the globe can visit my site via Bandcamp and discover my current passion for DSLR photography, which is just awesome.

Zenfolio also allows video uploads. I only put up one short 960FPS video shot with my Samsung Galaxy S9, but I decided to create a blog page featuring my YouTube Music Videos instead. The blog feature is fantastic because you can create extra pages, embed content like I did with Bandcamp and YouTube, and link these blog pages from your menu, header, or footer on your site.

Moreover, the introduction to my site includes a slideshow showcasing a gallery folder I selected, along with one of my original songs that plays when visitors check out the slideshow. As a creative person who's dabbled in various artistic endeavors over the years, I find Zenfolio to be an ideal match for me. I chose them for my photography, and within just a day or two of designing my site, I ended up with something truly amazing that I'm really pleased with.

If you're on the lookout for a site with excellent features, I believe Zenfolio is a solid option. The annual cost for hosting my portfolio there is comparable to a year of Flickr Pro, and instead of maintaining a social media profile, I'm investing in a much more professional and personal space to direct people to.

I've had some really bad runs with a bunch of websites, and the most annoying was 'freelancer'... coming in close is 'imagebrief'... BUT Zenfolio has, so far, checked all the boxes for me. I was a bit hesitant to dive into such a big company with all their claims of simplicity and dependability, but I decided to create a website that includes a digital stock download shop. Gotta say, I'm really impressed with Zenfolio.
